Rumour: Launch dates for RIM BlackBerry 10 devices

Research In MotionResearch In Motion has been saying for a while that its first BlackBerry 10 devices will launch in Q1 2013. That still leaves a fairly large three month window in which the launches could happen. N4BB has put together a more detailed roadmap based on what it has heard from multiple sources. It extends extends past the first two series of devices to show what RIM could be planning for the first half of 2013.

Things get started in January with the launch of the all-touch L-Series. The QWERTY-keyboard N-Series follows in February. Two more series, the R-Series, the rumoured Curve family replacement, and S-Series, are set to follow in May. RIM will then launch the A-Series Aristo, its rumoured flagship line, in July. With five series planned, it appears that RIM could have more than 6 devices planned.

All the series but the S-Series have been the topic of rumours in the past. This is the first time that we hear about the S-Series. The report suggests that this line will be very similar to the R-Series but come with an older version of BlackBerry, perhaps a refreshed version of BlackBerry 7 known as BlackBerry 8.

Lastly, even N4BB suggests that there is plenty of speculation behind these dates so take everything here with a grain of salt.
