Rumours of a successor to Samsung’s first phablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note, continue to gather steam. GSMArena has learned from a source “whom we have good reasons to trust” that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will indeed come with a larger 5.5-inch display and a design inspired by that of the Galaxy S III as previous rumours suggested.
Despite its larger display, the report adds that the Galaxy Note 2 will actually be narrower, suggesting thinner bezels. The following mockup suggests that it could look like:
Samsung has also apparently moved the release date up further up to September. It is hoping to have it out before Apple launches its next iPhone
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 may come with a dual-core Exynos 5250 Cortex-A15 processor, up to 2GB of RAM, an 8MP camera with an improved sensor, and LTE connectivity. There is no word on whether the display will use PenTile technology and/or feature a unbreakable plane (UBP) display.
