RIM is expected to lead off the launch of its BlackBerry 10 devices with a touchscreen slab known as the BlackBerry London. It is expected to be followed by the BlackBerry Nevada, the first BB10 device with a physical keyboard. Design and manufacture of both are apparently ahead of RIM’s development schedule. A new rumour has now perhaps given us the names of the devices as well as some display specification details.
The BlackBerry London will be the first device in RIM’s L-Series with the Nevada to be the first in RIM’s N-Series:
The L-Series will come with a 768×1280 display offering 356 PPI (Pixels Per Inch). The BlackBerry Dev Alpha already sports this display. It will also be 2.16-inch (55 millimeter) wide. The N-Series will sport a 2.08-inch (53 millimeter) wide display offering a resolution of 720×720 pixels, or 330 PPI. The first N-Series device will have an OLED display but some subsequent models will have LCD ones.
RIM could announce the L-Series in August and it could hit the street in the first half of September. The N-Series could follow early as Q1 2013.
