A new HTC One smartphone appears to be headed to T-Mobile USA later this year. First revealed on a leaked roadmap as the HTC Era 42, TMoNews has learned that the device will launch as the HTC One X+ possibly in September. The ‘+’ suggests that it will be an upgraded version of the HTC One X first announced at MWC 2012.
The ‘+’ may in fact be a reference to NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 Plus processor. If so, the T-Mobile HTC One X+ could sport a 1.7GHz quad-core processor. As for the ‘Era 42’ name, it may be a reference to 42Mbps HSPA+.
If T-Mobile does launch an AWS-compatible version of the HTC One X, there is a chance that it will make its way up here to Canada to Mobilicity, Vidéotron, WIND Mobile, or even all three.
Assuming all these rumours are correct, T-Mobile will launch the HTC One X+ on September 26th. Pricing information is not yet known.
