Not only is Apple rumoured to announce the iPhone 5 on September 12th, but it may also start taking pre-orders on that day as well. iMore, the same website that first reported September 12th as the date for Apple’s announcement, today added that pre-orders will start on the same day. It is possible that pre-orders could be limited to the US at first.
The first iPhone 5 launch wave will follow on September 21st. It could be limited to the US as the report adds that the first international launch will follow in the first week of October, with October 5th as the likely specific date. There are no details as to which markets could be included in that first wave or when subsequent waves would follow.
Apple could also announce the rumoured iPad mini on September 12th. It is even possible that it could unveil a completely refreshed iOS device lineup.
