While Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrades are now available for the Transformer Prime (TF201), Transformer Pad TF300, and Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700), owners of the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer (TF101), the original Transformer tablet, are still in the dark as to whether they will also receive the upgrade. There have been a few signs in the past that it might and today there was another.
A MobileSyrup reader was told that by a U.S.-based customer service manager that he had been dealing with for some time that ASUS was planning to offer the upgrade. No timelines or further details were provided.
As for ASUS, it has yet to officially confirm (or deny) plans to upgrade the TF101 to Android 4.1. The waiting game goes on…
