Rogers today announced further expansion of its LTE network in the Montréal area. Coverage now extends to Laval, Terrebonne, Brossard, Longueuil and Vaudreuil. This brings to more than 11 million the number of Canadians who are now covered by Rogers’ LTE network.
Rogers also announced that it will expand to more than 25 additional cities this year. At that point, more than half of Canada’s population will have LTE coverage.
Rogers was the first to launch LTE in Canada. Its network now covers Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver. It offers a number of LTE devices, including smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE, tablets such as the HTC Jetstream, and data sticks and hubs. Today it also announced the imminent launch of its latest LTE device, the Samsung Galaxy Note.
