RIM’s Porsche Design P’9981 from BlackBerry smartphone is now available in Canada. The launch was made in conjunction the opening of the first Canadian Porsche Design store today.
The Porsche Design P’9981 comes with a forged stainless steel frame, hand-wrapped leather back cover, a sculpted QWERTY keyboard, and a customized version of BlackBerry OS 7 with Porsche Design icons and the Porsche font. It also includes premium BBM PINs to help identify other P’9981 users. Under the hood, it is very similar to the BlackBerry Bold 9900 with a 1.2GHz processor, a 2.8-inch VGA capacitive touchscreen, 8GB of onboard storage, and NFC.
If you have CA$1,899 burning a hole in your pocket, you can head down to the Canadian Porsche Design store located at 77 Bloor Street West in Toronto’s trendy Yorkville neighbourhood.
