Research In Motion today announced that its annual financial analyst presentation will not take place at BlackBerry World 2012 as it has in past years. The company has instead decided to hold a separate event after BlackBerry 10 launches.
“We decided to make BlackBerry World more focused on customers, developers and partners,” RIM spokeswoman Tenille Kennedy said today. “We will hold a separate session targeted at the interests of the investment community later this year, once BlackBerry 10 is launched.”
It has not announced yet announced a new date or location for this analyst event.
RIM will provide more information on the BlackBerry 10 platform and roadmap at BlackBerry World 2012. At the concurrent BlackBerry 10 Jam event, developers will be outfitted with a limited edition developer prototype device at its BlackBerry 10 Jam event. RIM’s first BlackBerry device will follow later this year.
