A new Motorola device, codenamed Qinara, has surfaced on the GLBenchmark website. A number of specifications are revealed and among them a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 chipset (the same one expected in the HTC One X and other upcoming high-end smartphones).
Motorola has typically used Texas Instruments OMAP processors (along with the odd NVDIA one). This change could be due to the inclusion of LTE as the MSM8960 comes with integrated LTE support, which helps extend battery life. The AT&T branding supports that theory as the carrier is increasingly focusing on LTE devices.
The results also show that the device is powered by Android 4.0.3 will come with a display with a resolution of 1196×720, suggesting a 720p display with onscreen buttons.
There is no word on availability or pricing at this point.
