Microsoft will open a number of Holiday Stores on October 26th in support of the launch of its new Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 operating systems and its Surface tablet. Four stores are planned for Canada: In Burnaby (Metropolis at Metrotown), Edmonton (West Edmonton Mall), Toronto (Eaton Centre), and Vancouver (Oakridge Centre).
Pictures of such a Holiday Store being readied in St. Louis has given us our first glimpse at what we can expect.
While Microsoft has promised “a curated selection of the latest Microsoft products at any of our Holiday Stores,” it’s clear from these pictures that the Microsoft Surface will get top billing.
Microsoft will also open its first full retail store in Canada at Toronto’s Yorkdale Mall on November 16th.
