The 3D experiment appears to have come to an end at HTC. Jeff Gordon, Global Online Communications Manager for HTC, today told CNet that “we don’t have any new products with 3D in the lineup. That’s based partially on customer feedback, what we know the market wants, and also a design decision we’ve made.” At the same time, Gordon left the door open for its eventual return.
The upcoming HTC Evo 4G LTE (scheduled for release on May 18th for US$199.99) was to have come with 3D capabilities but Sprint opted against it and asked that it come with a kickstand instead.
HTC’s first 3D smartphone was the HTC Evo 3D which launched last year.
