A mysterious new HTC device has surfaced on this month’s Xbox Live Rewards survey. One question asks users how excited if they got a particular smartphone. Among options such as the Apple iPhone 5, Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx HD, Nokia Lumia 920, and Samsung Galaxy S III, is the HTC Titan III.

Rumours over the summer suggested that HTC would release three Windows Phone 8 devices. Before launch, one device, codenamed the HTC Zenith, was axed and HTC launched just two, the Windows Phone 8X [product information]and Windows Phone 8S [product information]. If so, the HTC Titan III could be none other than the HTC Zenith.
Rumoured specifications included unnamed an quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a 4.7-inch 720p Super LCD 2 display, 42Mbps HSPA+, and the same 8MP camera as the Windows Phone 8X.
At this point, it is unlikely that the HTC Titan III will launch in 2012. Perhaps it will be announced as a new Windows Phone 8 flagship smartphone at CES 2013.
