Additional information about LG’s first Nexus device has surfaced courtesy of MoDoCa. The report confirms that the device will be based on the LG Optimus G but will look different. On the plus side is that it will apparently support wireless charging and the possibility that LG will adopt a better name than LG Optimus G Nexus. On the downside though is that the device will not support SD cards and come with no more than 16GB of onboard storage. The report does suggest that there could be future models with more onboard storage capacity though
Here is what the latest tells us about the LG Optimus G Nexus (assuming that this is the final name):
- Processor: Quad-core Snapdragon S4
- Operating system: Google Android 4.2
- Display: 4.7-inch HD (1280×768) IPS
- Input: Capacitive touchscreen
- Memory: 2GB RAM
- Storage: 8GB or 16GB onboard but no microSD card slot
- Rear-facing camera: 8MP
- Battery: Non-removable
- Other: Wireless charging
The launch is scheduled for mid-November, something that coincides with yesterday’s rumour.
