Mobilicity today announced that network upgrades are complete and that its network now supports “4G speeds of up to 21Mbps.” It also unveiled two new Premium Data offerings for heavy data users.
“Mobilicity has the most affordable 4G data service in Canada, said Mobilicity President and Chief Operating Officer Stewart Lyons. “Now, Canadians can enjoy premium data simply by adding it onto to any regular Mobilicity rate plan for only $20 a month – less than a dollar a day.”
While Mobilicity’s data plans remain unlimited, its basic and basic stick data plans now come with a 6GB threshold above which data speeds may be reduced. Its new Premium Data Add-On raises that limit to 20GB of data per month for an additional CA$20 per month.
Mobilicity also launched the Huawei E366 Premium Data Stick along with the new Premium Mobile Data Internet Plan (CA$50 per month). It also provides 20GB of data at Mobilicity’s fastest speeds each month. The Huawei E366 Premium Data Stick is available for CA$79.99.
Mobilicity first announced plans to upgrade its network to 4G back in the summer.
