The end of October is going to be quite busy for Microsoft. Aside from the launch of Windows 8 on September 26th (itself preceded by a press event on the 25th), it will also host BUILD 2012 from the 30th to November 2nd. And if that’s not enough, Microsoft today started press invitations to another event, this one on October 29th (a date we’ve already heard about) where it will officially launch Windows Phone 8.
HTC, Nokia, and Samsung have already announced a total of five Windows Phone 8 devices (Windows Phone 8X and 8S by HTC, Nokia Lumia 820 and 920, and Samsung ATIV S). Hopefully the event will clear up details such as availability and pricing (although the latter is likely to come courtesy of carriers). It could also mark the start of pre-ordering with device launches to follow in early November.
