A “very small number” of HTC One X smartphones suffer from a messaging issue whereby incoming message notifications don’t work. Both status bar notifications and icon notifications are affected, leaving users to having to open the app to see the new messages.
Not only does the issue only some devices but it also appears to be random. The incoming message notification may work sometimes and not some other times.
HTC has confirmed the issue and is already working on a fix. There is no ETA as to when it will be pushed out but HTC expects it to be “as soon as possible.”
