HSPA+ and LTE-enabled versions of the ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 could hit the street as early as this month. According to German website TechFokus, the HSPA+ TF300TG is already available and the LTE TF300TL is coming starting in “mid August 2012 in the colors blue and red.” Unfortunately, so far the release only appears to cover the German and Austrian markets.
Aside from the additional connectivity option, device specifications are unchanged from the Wi-Fi-only ASUS Transformer Pad TF300.
The suggested retail price with keyboard dock is €629 (about US$775) or €529 (about US$650) without the dock.
The ASUS Transformer Pad TF300TL also surfaced a while back at the FCC. With support for LTE’s 700MHz and 1700MHz bands and for HSPA+’s 850MHz and 1900MHz bands, it could well launch with AT&T in the US as well as one or more Canadian carriers. Whether it does or not remains to be seen.
