LG Electronics has now sold more than 4 million Optimus LTE devices since the first model, the LG Optimus LTE was launched late last year. Both the LG Optimus LTE and LG Optimus LTE Tag have now sold over 1 million units with the newer Optimus LTE2 topping sales of 400,000 units in Korea alone.
LG had previously announced that the Optimus LTE had sold over 1 million units back in January. In May, it also announced that LTE smartphone sales had topped three million units. It has essentially sold another million LTE smartphones in about two months.
LG is also planning to offer its LTE smartphones to 20 countries by year’s end. It first stated this goal back in May. It is not clear how far it has progressed since and when the remaining markets will specifically launch.
Only the LG Optimus LTE is available in Canada. Both Bell and TELUS carry it.
