The LG Optimus 3D successor appears to have been revealed. PocketNow has obtained details and pictures of the LG CX2. It will offer a number of improvements over LG’s first 3D smartphone.
The processor will be improved from a 1GHz dual-core to a 1.2GHz dual-core TI OMAP one. While the screen will remain a glasses-free stereoscopic 3D 4.3-inch WVGA one, brightness will be improved with a NOVA display. Radios will include 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi (with DLNA support), Bluetooth 3.0 and 21Mbps HSPA. An NFC chip will also be added. The whole device should also be about just under 10 millimeters thick, about 2 millimeters thinner the original Optimus 3D. The dual 5MP cameras and the 8GB of internal storage should remain unchanged.
Like the already leaked LG X3, the LG CX2 should be unveiled at Mobile World Congress next month. A Spring release appears in the cards at this point.
