A few days after teasing its latest flagship smartphone, LG today announced the LG Optimus G, billed as the world’s first LTE smartphone with a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor.

As expected, the LG Optimus G uses the new G2 Touch Hybrid Display technology that promises a slimmer display with “no diffused reflection for clearer and sharper visibility, even outdoors.”
The LG Optimus G will first launch with NTT DoCoMo in Japan. The global version will first launch in Korea in September. Other worldwide markets will then follow.
