Kobo Arc now available at Indigo

The Kobo Arc tablet [product information] is now available in Canada through Indigo and Chapters bookstores.

According to Heather Reisman, Indigo’s Chief Executive Officer, “At Indigo we’re excited that the Kobo Arc tablet is now in store. The Kobo Arc is an amazing tablet experience at an affordable price—a gift that will delight the whole family. We look forward to the new suite of Kobo devices, the Kobo Arc, Glo and Mini, as well as our beautiful range of colourful accessories to be the “it” gift for the holiday season.”

The Kobo Arc comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and Kobo’s own Tapestries user interface. It allows users to “pin” content such as movies, books and webpages. A Discovery Ribbon uses this pinned content to make recommendations about other products.

The Kobo Arc comes in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models for CA$199.99, CA$249.99, and CA$299.99 respectively. It will be sold alongside the Google Nexus 7, Indigo’s first non-Kobo tablet.
