Did Google just spill the beans? Sorry, it just had to be done.
If there was any doubt that Google would announce Jelly Bean as the next major version of Android at Google I/O 2012, the tradition of putting a statue on its campus to mark the completion of a major release should put those those to rest. Joining other statues, including Ice Cream Sandwich, Honeycomb, Gingerbread, Froyo, and Eclair, today on Google’s lawn are plenty of jelly beans.
Jelly Bean looks set to bear version number 4.1.
Is it too early to start guessing what the next release will be called? Key Lime Pie or Kulfi (a frozen milk dessert from India?)
