When Google unveiled Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, HTC quickly committed to supporting it on a number of devices without revealing which these might be and when updates might be available. If Australia’s Telstra’s ‘Next G smartphone software release schedule’ is to be believed, both the HTC One XL and HTC One S are set to get the upgrade.
The document which lists upcoming upgrades indicates that “HTC is preparing an update but is yet to confirm the date it will be submitted for Telstra testing.” While neither the HTC One X and HTC One V are listed, neither are in fact carried by the Australian carrier.
If nothing else, we now have an indirect confirmation that HTC will upgrade its HTC One devices to Android 4.1.
