Not to be outdone by Apple, HTC today also announced an upcoming event. As rumoured, it will host an event on September 19th in New York City at 1100 EST, a week after Apple’s own event.
HTC is expected to unveil its Windows Phone 8 device lineup at the event. Three devices could be announced: The Rio at the lower end, the mid-range Accord, and the Zenith at the higher end. The HTC Accord (the Windows Phone 8X by HTC perhaps?) in particular has been the topic of many rumours.
It’s also possible that HTC will announce new Android devices. Its HTC One lineup is now more than six months old, an eternity in the smartphone world. Perhaps we will finally see the HTC dlx with its rumoured 5-inch 1080p HD display announced.
