HTC confirmed back in July that it planned to upgrade at least some its HTC One lineup to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. HTC has now provided MoDaCo with new upgrade schedule details.
HTC will first update the HTC One X. The upgrade will first be pushed out to unlocked devices starting in October. The rollout will then be expanded to carrier devices and HTC expects to complete all upgrades before Christmas. This assumes that it will receive both Google and carrier approvals in time of course.
The HTC One S will also be upgraded but there are still no details. The HTC V’s fate appears to still be undecided.
The report adds that both the HTC One X+ and the HTC One XL headed to European carrier EE will come with Jelly Bean pre-loaded.
