HTC today issued a brief statement to indicate that its HTC One X and EVO 4G LTE are now shipping again after U.S. Customs determined that they complied with the ITC’s ruling over the ‘647 patent owned by Apple.
HTC has completed the review process with US Customs and HTC devices have been released, as they are in compliance with the ITC’s ruling. Future shipments should continue to enter the US and we are confident that we will soon be able to meet the demand for our products.
U.S. Customs began to delay shipments of the two devices earlier this month to conduct an investigation to determine if they complied with the ruling. A partial release came last week but this allows HTC to resume all shipments. The hold forced Sprint to delay the launch of the HTC EVO 4G LTE while AT&T found itself running out of the HTC One X.
