After showing off Android 4.0 running on an HP TouchPad last week, the CyanogenMod team has now released what it calls Alpha 0 of CyanogenMod 9 for the HP TouchPad. As they explain:
That’s a “zero” as in “zero hardware-accelerated video”, “zero camera”, and “zero support!”
Despite this being an early alpha release, it builds on the earlier CM7 Alpha 1 and Alpha 2 builds and promises to be “*two* CyanogenMods better.” Still, it is an alpha release so use with caution!
The CyanogenMod team has also released all of the CM9 for the HP TouchPad source code. One reason for doing so is to ask others to get involved and participate in further development.
