Google today announced its first Nexus tablet, the Google Nexus 7. It is also the first device to come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
Nexus 7 was built to bring you the best of Google in the palm of your hand. Hang out with up to 10 friends on Google+ using the front-facing camera, browse the web blazingly fast with Chrome and, of course, crank through your emails with Gmail.

The Google Nexus 7 is the first tablet to come with the Chrome browser. It also includes the movie “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” the book “The Bourne Dominion,” magazines like Condé Nast Traveler and Popular Science, and songs from bands like Coldplay and the Rolling Stones. It will also include, for a limited time, a CA$25 credit to purchase content from Google Play.
Google will today begin taking pre-orders for the Nexus 7 in Canada, the U.S., and Australia. It will sell for US$199 (CA$209) for the 8GB model and US$249 (CA$259) for the 16GB model. It will start to ship in mid-July.
