Since releasing Android 4.1.2 last week, Google has begun to release Android 4.1.2 factory images. The first was for the Google Nexus 7 and it was quickly followed by additional ones for some of the Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy S smartphones. Now attention has turned to device updates.
The rollout for the Nexus 7 kicked off last week (although there is no sign of it here at Gadgetorama HQ). Now, another has started for the Galaxy Nexus, albeit only for the international and Google Play versions (yakju and takju builds) at this point. Canadians (as well as users of the U.S. CDMA version) who have bought their Galaxy Nexus from a carrier will need to be patient (they just got 4.1.1 last month) or look at converting their software from the yakjuux version to yakju (not impossible but not so simple either).
There are also some reports that the GSM Nexus S (soju version) is also getting the update.
