Tim Hortons, our iconic Canadian restaurant chain, today announced that it has begun to roll out free Wi-Fi across its restaurants. It expects that 90% of its more than 2,000 locations will have coverage by September.
“It’s all about convenience and making life easier for our guests,” said Roland Walton, Chief Operations Officer, Tim Hortons. “Free wireless Internet at Tim Hortons will help people stay connected on the road in more locations than anyone in Canada and is yet another great reason to visit one of our restaurants to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee.”
Tim Hortons is partnering with Bell to deploy its Wi-Fi network.
Needless to say, Tim Hortons’ Wi-Fi network will support a variety of Wi-Fi-enabled devices, including portable computers, iPads and other tablets and smartphones.
A number of other coffee shop chains such as Second Cup and Starbucks already offer free Wi-Fi to their customers.
