With just over a month to go before Research In Motion unveils its first BlackBerry 10 smartphones, a report has emerged that the company will change its long-standing naming convention with the launch of its new operating system. The usually reliable @evleaks has obtained a marketing document that the four digit model number convention will make way for a new alphanumeric one.
The image suggests that the first all-touch BlackBerry L-Series will be known as the BlackBerry Z10. The image also confirms that it will be available in both black and white.
The report adds that the upcoming QWERTY keyboard device could be known as the BlackBerry X10.
With media events planned for January 30th, 2013 in Toronto, New York as well as Dubai, Johannesburg, London and Paris, all should be revealed very soon.
