Recent rumours have been suggesting that Google will soon enter the tablet market with a 7-inch model of its own. PocketNow today obtained an image and believes that this could be none other than this Google tablet.
No specifications were provided along with the image but a few details can be observed. The tablet sports an SD card slot as well as micro-USB and micro-HDMI ports. The image is also likely a bit older given that it shows the Google Market icon rather than the newer Google Play Store one. The front picture shows a very generic interface with no manufacturer-specific apps or widgets. No branding of any kind is visible although it could show up on the back of the device for which there is no image.
Android Community proposes an alternate theory. It suggests instead that the tablet could be an updated version of a Toshiba 7.7-inch prototype tablet seen at CES 2012.
Google could unveil its Nexus tablet as early as its annual Google I/O conference in June.
