There had been enough rumours to make this somewhat anticlimactic but it’s now official: AT&T will be the U.S. exclusive carrier for Nokia’s newest flagship smartphone, the LTE-enabled Nokia Lumia 900.
“The introduction of the Nokia Lumia 900 with AT&T is another significant milestone in the ongoing rollout of Nokia’s global smartphone strategy,” said Chris Weber, president of Nokia Americas. “The Nokia Lumia 900 is designed specifically with the US in mind and the announcement of this collaboration with AT&T, in addition to other recent announcements, signifies a new dawn for Nokia in the US.”

The Lumia 900 will not use Tango as some reports had suggested but runs Windows Phone 7.5 Mango Commercial Release 2. This is essentially Mango with added LTE support (and perhaps other yet-to-be revealed goodies).
The Nokia Lumia 900 will be available in the “coming months” exclusively on AT&T in cyan and black. Pricing information is not yet available.
