LG today announced the LG Spectrum smartphone, an exclusive for Verizon. It is the first smartphone for Verizon Wireless to feature a 4.5-inch True HD In-Plane Switching (IPS) display.

A new partnership between LG and ESPN will see the LG Spectrum come preloaded with an ESPN SportsCenter app.
The LG Spectrum will be available through Verizon for US$199.99 with a two-year contract starting on January 19th.
