Let a new round of bragging begin! Huawei today unveiled the Ascend P1 S which it describes as the world’s thinnest smartphone. With a thickness of only 6.68 millimeters, it does appear to have bragging rights for now (at least for now as CES is only just getting started).

The Huawei Ascend P1 S will have a slightly larger sibling, the Ascend P1 which will be nearly identical but slightly thicker at 7.69 millimeters due to a larger 1,800mAh battery.
The Huawei Ascend P1 and the Huawei Ascend P1 S will be available starting in Q2 2012 (including North America). Pricing was not disclosed for either model.
