As expected, Apple today announced the iPhone 5. During the presentation, it also confirmed that it will be coming to a number of Canadian carriers. With support for LTE as well as HSPA+ and 42Mbps DC-HSPA+, Apple confirmed that Bell, Fido, Koodo, Rogers, TELUS, and Virgin Mobile would all carry it starting on September 21st.
The Apple iPhone 5 will sell for CA$699 for the 16GB model, CA$799 for the 32GB model, and CA$899 for the 64GB model with no contract. Pre-orders will begin on September 14th with availability to follow starting on September 21th. Bell, Rogers, and Virgin Mobile have already confirmed that they’ll take pre-orders through their sites as well.
