Apple’s bid to delay the U.S. launch of the Samsung Galaxy S III has failed. U.S. District Court Judge Lucy Koh late Monday denied the request. She explained that it would overload her calendar given that the launch is just over a week away and that the trial is set to start in July.
Koh last week said that Apple could ask for a temporary restraining order against the Samsung Galaxy S III. Such a request would likely delay the Apple-Samsung trial which already involved a number of other devices though.
It’s not clear what Apple’s next move will be but, based on past history, it’s doubtful that this is the last we hear about it trying to block U.S. sales of the Samsung Galaxy S III.
