Apple today announced that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will take place from June 11th to June 15th 2012 in San Fransisco at the Moscone West Center.
“We have a great WWDC planned this year and can’t wait to share the latest news about iOS and OS X Mountain Lion with developers,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “The iOS platform has created an entirely new industry with fantastic opportunities for developers across the country and around the world.”
The event will feature more than 100 technical sessions covering topics for developing, deploying and integrating iOS and OS X technologies. Hands-on labs will provide developers with code-level assistance, insight into optimal development techniques and guidance on how they can make the most of iOS and OS X technologies in their apps.
As always, there is also the chance that Apple will use the event to announce new hardware. Perhaps it will announce a new iPhone or a smaller iPad this year.
You must be a paid member of the iOS Developer Program, iOS Developer Enterprise Program, or Mac Developer Program to attend WWDC. Tickets cost US$1599 and are limited to one per person and five per organization.
Update: Tickets are now sold out. It only took a couple of hours.
