Rovio today announced that Angry Birds has topped the milestone of a billion downloads. This milestone includes all versions across all platforms. Not bad for a game that was released only two years ago!
The latest Angry Birds installment, Angry Birds Space, topped 20 million downloads in the first week it was available and 50 million downloads in just over a month.
Rovio promises that “more amazing things” are coming soon and the video gives us a hint. The character at the end is Casey from Casey’s Contraptions, a game already available for iOS devices. In it, you build Rube Goldberg-like machines with toys and everyday items to solve puzzles and playtime scenarios.
