Australia’s Vodafone Google Nexus S owners may have to wait a bit longer for their Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrades but it has landed in Canada. After a 1MB update that updated the Android 4.0.4 build number of my trusty Nexus S from IMM76D to IMM76M but seemingly little else earlier today, the Android 4.1.1 update followed shortly after (about 1 hour later).
I’ll try to post a few first impressions about Jelly Bean this weekend. For what it’s worth, the upgrade was buttery smooth…
Anyone else seeing the update?
Update: Google has confirmed via Google+ that it has begun the update:
We’ve started rolling out Android 4.1, Jelly Bean, to Nexus S phones on a number of carriers including T-Mobile, H3G, O2, Rogers as well as Vodafone in most countries, with more to come.
As far as Canadian carriers, you can add TELUS to that list
