A number of user interface images suggest that Nokia may have (and may still be) considered making changes to the Windows Phone user interface. As part of its close relationship with Microsoft, the company has more leeway than other Microsoft Windows Phone partners. Whether that goes as far as using such a completely different user interface as these mockups suggest remains to be seen tough.
According to PocketNow, the senior graphic designer responsible for these designs was transferred to Accenture in September of 2011. One of their sources added that these mockups were “purely her own personal design explorations and were never part of any project being done at or for Nokia.”
Real or not, what do you think? One thing is for sure, it’s quite a departure from Window Phone’s Metro user interface.
