Remember LG’s rumoured 1080p HD F240K smartphone that surfaced last month. It now appears that a variant may be headed to North American shores as well. The LG E940 has been spotted on the GLBenchmark website. As usual, little is revealed but there are the usual few details that can be gleaned. Among them is the parameter, android.os.Build.PRODUCT, which reads as geefhd_att_us, suggesting that the LG E940 is headed to AT&T.
Other details revealed by the test results indicate that the LG E940 will run Android 4.1.2 (although that could still change by the time it is announced) and sport a Full HD (1920×1080) display. While there is no size for the display, we can expect it to be no less than 5-inch like other smartphones sporting a 1080p display. It will also come with an Adreno 320 GPU, suggesting a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC.
With plenty of carrier announcements normally taking place at CES, could we see the LG E940 announced then? With AT&T set to carry it, we could also see it make its way north of the border – Canada needs a smartphone with a 5-inch 1080p display.
