WIND Mobile’s future expansion plans are a bit clearer after a The Chronicle Herald interview with CEO Ken Campbell. In it, Campbell says:
“We have plans to be in Atlantic Canada. I’m sorry to say it will not be this year. It would certainly be safe to bet we’ll be there the following year.”
As it has done in other areas where it has launched, WIND Mobile will have its own infrastructure in Nova Scotia (likely the Halifax/Dartmouth area initially). Campbell indicated that expansion is still in the early stages as it still needs to acquire sites for towers, stores and a call centre.
Aside from Nova Scotia, Campbell did not reveal whether WIND Mobile had any other Maritimes markets in mind for expansion in 2012.
