Nokia today set the date for its annual Nokia World conference. Set for October 26th and 27th in London, there is now speculation that this could be the event where Nokia will unveil its first Windows Phone device.
At the Communicasia conference today, Nokia CEO Stephen Elop once again reaffirmed that Nokia is planning to launch its first Windows Phone device late this year. With Microsoft expected to have the Mango Windows Phone release ready later this year, the event would allow Nokia to unveil its much anticipated smartphone in time for the holiday shopping season.
Nokia has also revealed that it will first launch its first Windows Phone in six European countries.
