If you have been holding out for a white Apple iPhone 4, your wait may soon be at an end. Citing “two people familiar with the situation,” Reuters reports that production of the white version has now begun.
The iPhone 4 was unveiled last June at WWDC 2010. At the time, Jobs promised it would be available in black or white. Apple ran into manufacturing challenges and pushed out the release of the white version a number of times. In March, it announced that it would finally be available “this spring.”
The white iPhone 4 could be available from AT&T and Verizon Communications as early as the end of April. Apple has yet to confirm these details though.
Update: Apple reconfirmed today to The Wall Street Journal that the white iPhone 4 will be released “in the spring.” It would not confirm that both AT&T and Verizon Wireless will get it.
