It appears that Verizon could sell the Galaxy Nexus for more than a Verizon ad suggested in late November. According to The Wall Street Journal, Verizon will offer the Galaxy Nexus for US$299.99 with a two-year contract.
Verizon has adopted similar pricing for other higher-end LTE devices. Both the HTC Rezound and Motorola DROID Razr sell for US$299.99 (also with two-year contracts). The move allows Verizon to pay a smaller subsidy to the device manufacturers.
The exact Verizon launch date of the Galaxy Nexus is still unknown but has been rumoured to be December 8th.
The Galaxy Nexus will be cheaper in Canada (CA$159.99) when it launches with Bell and Virgin albeit with a three-year contract and HSPA+ connectivity instead of LTE.
