Verizon Wireless today announced via Twitter that the Galaxy Nexus will be available starting December 15th, slightly later than rumours had predicted. With support for Verizon’s LTE network (download speeds of 5 to 12Mbps and upload speeds of 2 to 5 Mbps within the LTE coverage area) and 32GB of internal memory, it is the first Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) smartphone to hit US shores.

Verizon also announced that it will also offer a white version of the DROID RAZR starting on December 15th. Like the original version, it will sell for US$299.99 with a two-year contract. For a limited time, customers who purchase a DROID RAZR with a two-year contract will also receive US$100 off a DROID XYBOARD tablet.
