Verizon finally announced when the HTC ThunderBolt will be available. The good news is that you won’t have to wait much longer as it goes on sale on March 17th. Many had expected an earlier release date but rumours of poor battery life may have delayed the launch as HTC may have spent more time optimizing the firmware.

The HTC ThunderBolt will be available for US$249.99 with a two-year contract. LTE data plans will cost the same as 3G ones and Verizon will offer free mobile hotspot support to all ThunderBolt users until May 15th (US$20 per month for 2GB after that).
