Verizon announces DROID XYBOARD tablets by Motorola

DROID XYBOARD 10.1Verizon announced that two new tablets this week. The DROID XYBOARD 10.1 and DROID XYBOARD 8.2 are now available online from the carrier. They will be in stores starting on December 12th. Essentially, these are rebranded Motorola XOOM 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition tablets.

Both tablets will be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich but specific timelines have not been given.

Verizon is offering the DROID XYBOARD 10.1 for US$529.99 (16GB), US$629.99 (32GB) and US$729.99 (64GB) with a two-year contract. The DROID XYBOARD 8.2 will be offered for US$429.99 (16GB) and US$529.99 (32GB) with a two-year contract. For a limited time, customers who buy a DROID RAZR with a two-year contract will be given US$100 off either DROID XYBOARD tablet.
